The house has been acclaimed as a masterpiece of architecture internationally and lauded by architects and magazines for its unique design and construction.

It has two well-equipped kitchens for the respective units, where visitors can do their own cooking.

It is 15 minutes away from the centre of Colombo and has easy access to transport and shops in the area. The area around it is ideal for trekking with interesting bird life around the lake.

It is a three bed roomed planter's bungalow, with sprawling Bedrooms and verandahs and sit outs. It has three attached toilets with hot water on tap and modern conveniences.

It is ideal for bird lovers and those who are interested in nature, observing monkeys and enjoying peace and quiet away from the city.

A large sitting and dining areas with a well equipped kitchen, with the facilities to cook your own food.

The bungalow over looks water and is perched on a hill in a cinnamon, coconut and pepper plantation with thick vegetation around it.

The area around the plantation provides the right conditions for long treks into the village.

The forest which is around 11187 hectares. 21 kms from east to west and 3.7 km north to east. Originally declared a Man and Biosphere Reserve in 1978 recognized by UNESCO as part of its International Network of Biosphere Reserves.
